Nicknames

Here's what troubles me about the President's propensity for dispensing amusing nicknames: I feel that it reflects a broader strain of infantilism that should have scuppered the President's gravy train in 2000. How we ever managed to accept someone who refers to his senior political advisor as "Turd blossom" as a measured and dignified leader is almost as mystifying to me as the succession of androids we've fielded against him.
