According to a Brigham Young study, Mormons weigh an average of 4.6 pounds more than other people in Utah and are 14% more likely to obese than non-Mormons.
The professor who led the study believed that it was because Mormons may be eating more to make up for the fact that they are prohibited from indulging in other things like smoking and drinking.
