Ah, Williamsburg

"This is what the white-hot Brooklyn real estate market has come to: A boarded-up South Williamsburg building that's been rotting away for three decades is on the block - for nearly $1 million." ...

"
Others who have watched as the area has gone from a working-class enclave to a hipster haven to a growing magnet for the well-heeled weren't shocked.

'Now that we have all these hippies or whatever you want to call 'em coming to Williamsburg, everything's going sky-high,' said Anna Seifert, 49, whose family has lived across the street for three generations." (NY Daily News)

I just love that quote. Gotta love Brooklyn.

So, when do you think Ms. Seifert'll flip her house to the gentrifiers? And for how much.

Assuming the real estate market doesn't crash (and I've seen some articles forecasting imminent doom recently) Ms. Seifert will look to sell as soon as the rest of her bridge club moves to Palm Beach.
