To update Seth's post:
Turns out the leak of the secret prisons came from (wait for it) a Republican Senator. Trent Lott's been running his mouth, much to the chagrin of Bill Frist and Denny Hastery, that the secret prisons story came out of a Republican Senators ONLY luncheon last week where info from Cheney and other Republicans was printed almost word for word in the Post story.
Bill Frist, who along with Hastert, wrote the letter demanding an investigation is now saying he never signed the letter. Thus, no investigation.
These guys can't even pull off sleazeball politics anymore. The Republican party is dying from the inside.
