Because he's hilarious. That New Yorker piece is great. Is he a real person or the creation of someone else (several others?)?
Also, I'm watching Jon Stewart interview Brian Williams. Brian Williams is an self-serious, self-promotional, pompous ass. There's something about his tone of voice that rankles. (I've been reading Jane Austen for the first time, so I'm feeling very sensitive to this sort of thing. I think it'll wear off, but I also think I still won't like Brian Williams.)
