Anyone remember the Mad Max movies? A post-apocalyptic Australia roamed by insane gasoline bandits and hapless survivors scrabbling for the scraps of civilization in a world gone mad?
That's pretty much the feeling I'm beginning to get driving around these days. Sure, it's not quite as bad as having a maddened band of neo-Vandals on motorbikes on your tail, led by Tina Turner, but sometimes, I wonder what it would be like to live in such a world, scrounging for precious gasoline, trading plastics between Bartertowns run on methane and ruled by the law of Thunderdome.
