Vague rumblings are beginning to sound about a possible US airstrike on Iran. C'mon, now, was my first thought; not even the current president would be that dumb.
Of course, I never thought George W. Bush would go to war with Iraq, either, until he started making the case. I'll admit that I lack faith in the ability of our system of government to prevent the president from bombing Iran if he so desired. When will power our government's warmaking powers ever be reclaimed from the imperial presidency?
