It may shortly be illegal in the State of Maryland to create a human-animal hybrid, thus scotching my plans for a manpanzee* butler. He would have been named Wilkins, and I would have loved him and his ability to juggle bar tools with his feet dearly.

You should move to Delaware. You can do pretty much anything there, and not even pay taxes on it. You could even install your manpanzee as a director of a corporation and he would be subject to a lower standard of care than most states.
